Prison Architect 2.0 – Ep 53 – Burning For Progress – Let’s Play

Let’s Play Prison Architect 2.0 – EPISODE 53. In this episode, we have a not-so-smooth welcome back into the game with a bit of expansion and some more gang management. This game really is becoming less “architect” and more “gangstoppers” hahaha.

All good. We’ll get through it. Thanks for your patience everyone. I’m hoping to gradually get back into the swing of things as my work schedule begins to normalize… still busy, but normalize.

Prison Architect is a game where you plan and design a prison from scratch, and then manage it and all the potential problems that go with it. From proper segregation to maintaining happiness within the population to prevent riots and improve rehabilitation, players in Prison Architect are tested on their abilities to solve problems before they get out of hand, while also managing a budget and growing their business.

The concept of building and managing a prison is a dark one, but Introversion Software, the creators of Prison Architect, have done an awesome job at bringing this conceptually difficult game into a lighthearted and fun environment, with fun graphics to go with it.

New Episodes will be posted here when they are edited and available, and may take different forms and pace as time goes on. A link to a full post covering the episode will be linked as the first thing in this description if available.

I hope you enjoy this series. I intend to play it for as long as there is interest in it. I know this isn’t a new game, but I hope to present a style that is enjoyable, despite perhaps seeing the game before.

  1. The Firefighters ran all the way there because you had the game paused, and deployed them on the scene immediately, thus giving them no time to drive closer. Also, sprinklers would have helped. That Canteen has been up for quite a while yet no sprnklers.  Hindsight is 20/20 tho.  Keep up the good work, still want to see this place grow to 3000+ prisoners 😛

  2. Hey HoTips! don't know if you already know this but…

If you want to evict the red gang from the yard you don't just wait, force the red gang to go the yard. Why? the game will only allow you to evict them if the gang members and the lieutenant are ready to defend their territory.

You should do this as soon as possible if they get enough money they will buy weapons for there gang, they won't steal it but buy it what's even worst look at how many contraband you have you should do a shake down before red gang gets their weapons

to some it all up do this steps

    1. Change the regime to make the red gang and other prisoners to the yard ( Tip: gangs only need the lieutenant and 2 or more gang members to defend their territory, it would be smart to put other gang members to solitary )

    2. Shakedown they might have already bought a few tools and or weapons WHO KNOWS red gang could have started that fire!

    3. Find all the sources of the contraband and assign dog handlers and or just metal detectors ( Tip make security checkpoints where there are junctions like a 4 way area to put metal detectors and dog handlers )

    4. Less contraband less fires fights drug addicts or maybe even deaths and you have a happy prison 😀

btw this is the same guy who gave you the security office idea

  3. Guys does anyone know if the games mechanics are if you get out of a room with contraband then you have it and it doesn't matter how many more metal detectors you do through or does it flag through every metal detector

  4. I know this is an older series, but something you can do to prevent gangs from taking over Yards and Common Rooms, is not only putting the Leaders in Supermax, but also the Lieutenants since the Lieutenants are the ones organizing the take overs. Get them out of Gen Pop and no take overs can be staged

The fact it takes so long for a gang to be evicted, is because by default, you need to control it for 24 hours (indicated by a decreasing ring around the control circle)
