The One Challenge Every Man Has Attempted, But Usually Fails

Throughout life, we men are faced with various situations which force us to challenge what’s possible, defy the naysayers, and capture the unknown by the horns and take on what we know is an unlikely possibility of success. In many cases, our challenge exists because of a woman, or because of other men (we’re competitive, of course). Then there are those challenges that have nothing to do with other people at all. Sometimes… we simply must challenge ourselves. This is one of those times. A challenge every man has attempted, but usually fails to succeed.

Can you get all the groceries into the house in one trip?

Sure, with a standard “quick run to the grocery store,” we often find ourselves with a mere 5 or 6 bags in the rear of the car. No sweat. Sometimes we’re only out for a couple of things, and we don’t even need to worry about getting a cart. After all… we’re not the shopping half of our species. We go in with a list, or a specific need, buy it, and get out.

But that isn’t always the case, especially when we bring our wives. Often times we find ourselves with a dozen bags. Maybe 2 dozen. We’re stocking up like bears, planning for a long future with the food we have, our ability to get more later unknown. Sometimes… the challenge of bringing in groceries demands multiple trips. It demands our patience, and a commitment to the senseless time it takes to walk back and forth from the car to the kitchen and repeat. There’s little hope to make this journey like we know we want: a single time.

Let not the challenges in front of you define your manhood… but how you conquer those challenges. No matter how many groceries, remember you can do it. You can win this thing. You can DEFEAT the naysayers and the sissy girls who cherish the idea of a second trip to the car. Be all you can be people… do it all the first time through. :)

Oh I know this feeling. It’s always that one little item you forget.
