Mod List for Grand Theft Auto V

The following is the mod list for our Twitch play-through of Grand Theft Auto V. If any of the modifications I’ve made to the game as I play through it interest you, you can find them linked below. This isn’t a “heavy” modlist. It’s balanced towards improving experience while not interfering with Story-Mode missions. Once missions are completed, it ‘should’ be safer to add more mods than this, especially those with scripts (script-heavy mods, or mods that ‘dramatically’ change elements of gameplay and world interaction, as well as mods that alter or add new vehicles, tend to interfere with story content). PLEASE NOTE: I did play the FIRST story mission before installing this mod list. If you don’t, it’s very likely you’ll be unable to complete the first mission when the cops never show up.

Use at your own risk, and follow all instructions from Mod authors. No installation tutorial is provided by me at this time. Some mods have optional settings that you can look through and choose whether you want or not. You CANNOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PLAY ONLINE WITH THESE MODS INSTALLED. A swift BAN is very likely if you try. Installation of most mods should be done via OpenIV Mod Manager

Everything mentioned on this page should be compatible with the 1.0.1868.0 update. If your game is updated from this version (later, after I’ve made this page) then use your own research on the list and updated versions.

MODDED GTA V: Steam version (PC)

ENB PresetsĀ are optional. You don’t need to use this. However, I did, to help achieve the graphical awesomeness I enjoyed from my stream playthrough. ENB is a standard install in order to later use ENB presets. You can use any preset you want, but if you plan to use ENB, you’ll need to grab it from Boris here: enbdev.com/mod_gta5_v0275.htm

ScriptHook V + Native Trainer – Required for some mods in the list. If you aren’t using one of the ones that need it, then you don’t need to install this.
Community Script Hook V .NET – Required for some mods in the list. If you aren’t using one of the ones that need it, then you don’t need to install this.

HeapAdjuster – This is a modified version of the original mod, which goes with the Police Tactics mod. If you aren’t using that mod, but still think you’ll need the HeapAdjuster, you can use this one instead.

Packfile Limit Adjuster – This ASI plugin doubles the amount of packfiles (aka RPFs) the game can handle.

GTA GameConfig – File for more Traffic. You can choose which config you want to use. Requires OpenIV to use it

NaturalVision – ‘outdated’ version simply means it’s older than the private beta being developed. It works. Use with ENB
VisualV – Graphic overhaul mod which does a ton to GTA V, and also brings redone weather effects.
World Of Variety – Adds a bunch of, well, variety to the world in GTA V.
L.A. ROADS – Changes up the look of roads, sidewalks, signs, etc. in the game.
Better Chases+ – Alters the modules related to police, and adds the “Warrant” system I had installed. NOTE: installing this includes NativeUI 1.6.1, so if you have another mod requiring NativeUI, you don’t need to install NativeUI again if you are installing this.
Police Response & Tactics Overhaul 2.1c – actually updated to a new version just as I was making this modlist. We’ll be testing it today and I’ll update this page later. Some additions were made to the modlist after that, featured at the end of this list, since the new version here recommended them.
SimpleTrainer – Simple mod that adds a bunch of small stuff in the game for players, and for other mods to tap into.
Euphoria Ragdoll Overhaul – Changes how the ragdolls in the game work, causing more variety and much more realistic reactions.
Real California Architecture – adds a bunch of beautiful things to the game. Have to check the description for more.
BetterVegetation and Props – adds a bunch of beautiful things to the game. Have to check the description for more.
CScenerioPoint Patch – Increases the number of scenario types and module sets available. Required for BetterVegetation mod
Epic Explosions XX – Alters how explosions look and feel, attempting to bring a bit more realism to it.
Dispatch ‘Ghost’ Fix – Quick fix file that helps solve a little hiccup that may occur with the new Police Tactics mod above.
