We Sleep On Rubber Mattresses in Vietnam
I’ve known this since the second day here, but today I got a chance to actually see what rubber mattresses really looks like. These mattresses, which every bed in the house is fitted with, are extremely durable and will last a very long time. The experience of sleeping on a rubber mattress is not like sleeping on the normal ones from the United States. It’s pretty stiff, but surprisingly I still get a great sleep out of it, and it does a great job of actually keeping cool. Actually, I would go as far as to say I sleep better on this rubber mattress than I do on my own bed (although my twin bed isn’t the most comfy thing in the world anyways, and yes I have slept on better things before).
The mattresses are made from the same rubber from the rubber trees I showed you earlier, and will last a very long time. Actually, as far as stores and stuff goes, if you keep your mattress in good shape for twenty years, I’m told you are given the opportunity to exchange the mattress for a brand new one, free of charge. Twenty years seems like a long time, but if you think about it, this is actually preferred when it comes to this kind of stuff.
It’s actually a pretty great value if you think about it. The rubber mattress costs $500 each, and can last more than twenty years. It also doesn’t really wear out like your spring mattresses would, so you won’t have to deal with all those little dips and uneven areas with this. It is pretty stiff, but I’m not really a big fan of stiff mattresses and I still get a great sleep with it, especially since it does a great job of staying cool. If anybody ever gets a chance, give it a shot.

Is it anything like the memory foam mattresses here in the states? I have a 4 inch memory foam on top of my regular mattress. Love it!!
Nah, it’s not really like memory foam. I’d think memory foam would be nicer. This is, perhaps, a very stiff version of memory foam.
I'd like to purchase one in the state but I don't know where I can buy it.
