Prison Architect 2.0 – Ep 71 – Cells, Trucks, and Bugged Satchels – Let’s Play

Let’s Play Prison Architect 2.0 – EPISODE 71. In this episode, the mailroom is still the most frustrating thing in the prison, we’ve got a healthy economy going, and it’s time for more expansion around the Supermax area.

Prison Architect is a game where you plan and design a prison from scratch, and then manage it and all the potential problems that go with it. From proper segregation to maintaining happiness within the population to prevent riots and improve rehabilitation, players in Prison Architect are tested on their abilities to solve problems before they get out of hand, while also managing a budget and growing their business.

The concept of building and managing a prison is a dark one, but Introversion Software, the creators of Prison Architect, have done an awesome job at bringing this conceptually difficult game into a lighthearted and fun environment, with fun graphics to go with it.

New Episodes will be posted here when they are edited and available, and may take different forms and pace as time goes on. A link to a full post covering the episode will be linked as the first thing in this description if available.

I hope you enjoy this series. I intend to play it for as long as there is interest in it. I know this isn’t a new game, but I hope to present a style that is enjoyable, despite perhaps seeing the game before.

  1. Recently found you around Episode 69. Really like your voice and personality.

I also kind of stole your yard design, sorry please don't throw me in prison. 😞

I think the best way to keep a cop killer safe is to keep them from getting in trouble. Either put them in protective custody and only allow them to wander the prison when everyone else is in lockdown. So just stagger their times so they don't see anyone except min sec and other protective custody. If they don't get into trouble, guards won't kill them.

I Love how you stagger your prison cells and everything, it gives your prison character instead of looking like a huge monstrous cookie cutter prison.

Also in regards to your mail room, try using only two sorting desks and three tables. I know it sounds silly but I think it's because your mail room is too big and the quantity needed for the mail to be delivered is skyrocketed because you have so much equipment (tables and sorting desks).

Some of my prisons had around 500 prisoners and 2 sorting desks/3 tables worked fine.

I think it's best to use guards to sort your mail as deployment zones tend to prevent prisoners from delivering to different zones.
And why let a criminal sort mail with contraband lol.

    Love the series!

  2. Another death row inmate? Ok, I believe his sentence will get commuted to life imprisonment and he'll join the big boys in Blue Gang if he's tanned white. And more minimum? They're easy to convince to get then to do what you want them to do, anyway I can see supermax getting out is one of there min sec simpletons smuggle them some digging tools, jail keys to get to the armoury and some cash to benefit them in hopes of getting paid themselves.

  3. Thanks Charlie, I was eating while watching this and almost choked on my laughter as you bulldozed the SuperMax solitary with Paterson inside "I don't care about anything in here" 🙂
