Kerbal Space Program [1.2.2] – Ep 86 – Minmus Ground Resource Base (Part 1) – Let’s Play

Conquering Kerbal Space Program EPISODE 86: Today we’re investigating the resource situation on Minmus now that our save file has been reset (and all the resources moved around too). We’ll build a rover that’ll get us specifics, and prepare to move a base to Minmus.

The ultimate goal of my Conquering Kerbal Space Program series is to put a fully 100% self-sufficient base (closed-loop) on the surface of every planet in the stock solar system (orbital station on gas giant). We’re running with USI Life Support and Remote Tech as well, to spice up the difficulty here.

We’re utilizing different classes for Kerbals than what stock KSP offers. You can find details on all Kerbal jobs/classes available at this page:

  1. Uranium and Water? You're really taking that "green" that Kerbals have to a new level aren't you! Also nice spot to take advantage of the dual base/logistic thing. Especially since I think within 150m they pull automatically so no need to worry about planet scale/ranges. Now just to see what you come up with for the base and stuff.

Also if I could make a suggestion, perhaps say what each thing is for? For example you said "life support supplies" but perhaps say something you're looking for dirt and silicates to run greenhouses or similar? (BTW I forget what the greenhouse uses so if it's not silicates don't shoot me!)

  2. My offer to port the science stuff still stands of course. There is no risk to the savefile because the file structure has not changed.

If you did (pretty much) all the science around the Kerbin system and not outside there is really no point in porting it over as you said so yea…
