Kerbal Space Program [1.1] – Ep 6 – Showing Failure – Let’s Play

Conquering Kerbal Space Program EPISODE 6: In this episode, something incredibly simple becomes complicated… for really no reason. It was late at night… whatever. – This is one of those “show your failures” types of videos.

The ultimate goal of my Conquering Kerbal Space Program series is to put a fully 100% self-sufficient base (closed-loop) on the surface of every planet in the stock solar system (orbital station on gas giant). We’re running with TAC Life Support and RemoteTech as well, to spice up the difficulty here.

New Episodes will be posted here when they are edited and available, and may take different forms and pace as time goes on. A link to a full post covering the episode will be linked as the first thing in this description.

Kerbal Space Program isn’t your typical game, and as we’re going to find out together, it’s a real challenge, and it doesn’t hold your hand or tell you really how to do anything… and that’s what I LOVE about this!

The first 15 or so videos of this series are actually already recorded! I just have to edit them in between my other work, but at least I can likely get them updated regularly here. If you like this series, be sure to give me a thumbs up letting me know! – We’ll likely start out slow to get you familiar with the basics of the game (I go through things assuming none of you have played it, and assuming none of you know anything about space or aerodynamics).

I hope you enjoy this series as much as I do. This will be a heavily modded play-through with the new KSP 1.1.x version, in 64-bit mode! Woot!

Mod list is located at hottipscentral.com/ksp-mods/ and may change as time goes on. The mod list will always be updated to what I’m using in the latest recording (not upload), and may not actually reflect the mods active in individual videos.

  1. The easiest way I've found to do the "splashed down" tests is to put whatever you need to test onto your SciCar(the thingy you drive around KSC getting science at the various buildings) and drive it into the water. But watching this vid gave me great lulz 😛

  2. Please stop your killing me. The cost of the engine and fuel tank will be deducted from your pay for this test. Duh. Find the cheapest way to accomplish the mission.

  3. Hey Charlie i just want to say how much im enjoying this series already, i love all the information you give, your grand objective of all your base are belong to us and all the text that pops up, you're a great youtuber in my opinion
