Hottips u just make an armor perching assault rifle, think about it, grenade, explode, fire gushes out,
had a feeling that gun wouldn't be as effective as you thought it would be. good luck with replaying the mission.
I agree – the weapon is pathetic. lol You would think that a grenade does more damage than a bullet – but BioWare obviously didn't know that…
That Cardinal guy's abilities make no sense whatsoever. Why would he not use this one-shot ability from the get-go? Instead he is playing around with your team for no reason at all. I call bs on this one, and I probably would have been a little more upset than you were. Kudos to your self-control. 😉
By the way, I find the aggro trigger distance mechanic is ridiculous. You can see the targets, but beyond a certain distance you just don't hit them at all, because they are not aggroed, or marked? How would that work with a sniper rifle? That's a nonsense mechanic, especially with futuristic weapons.
In the first few minutes of selling items/weapons, you sell the mattock AR and carnifex pistol without comment. The current pistol has been useless and the three round burst rifle has been in service for almost 15 episodes.
In case it wasn't painfully obvious, weapon types in ME:A have a maximum effective range. This means that no matter how many bullets you sink into that chosen kett at 80 meters with your pistol you wont do any (as in none) damage to it. Pistols are for close to medium range combat and doesn't seem to affect enemies over 40 meters away and since you are not affecting them they do not aggro either. If you want to pick off enemies at 80-100 meters the sniper rifle is pretty much your only option. Some semi-automatic assualt rifles seem to be able to damage at that range but the automatic fire ones does not.
TL:DR Use the right weapon for the job depending on range.
Strange that that gun didn't do much damage, I played with the same gun and it does so much damage, against shielded and unshielded enemies, I don't use any other gun anymore. Must be those mods you put on while developing it, I didn't put any mods on, mine didn't shoot those granades but it did great.
